James M. Nibbe Obituary, Death – 26-year-old James M. Nibbe of Lake Crystal passed away at home on August 31, 2010. Rev. Debbie King Quale will preside over the funeral ceremony, which is scheduled for Wednesday, September 8, 2010, at 11:00 a.m. at Zion Lutheran Church in Lake Crystal. The hours of visitation are 4–8 p.m. Beginning on Tuesday, September 7, 2010, at Lake Crystal Mortuary, the event will last for an hour before the church service.

Amboy’s Pleasant View Cemetery will be the place of burial. Donations to the Minnesota Pheasant Inc.-Blue Earth County Chapter may be donated in lieu of flowers. Mervin and Karen (Hengel) Nibbe welcomed James into the world on October 30, 1983, in Mankato. In 2002, he received his diploma from Lake Crystal Wellcome Memorial High School. During the eighth grade and until college, James was employed by Hank and Jan Roelofs.

He received his degree at the Jackson Campus of Minnesota West Community College. He was employed at Maple River Electric as an apprentice electrician from October 2005 until the present. James and Jennifer L. Gilman were joined in marriage on May 24, 2008. He belonged to the Garden City Rod and Gun Club, Ducks Unlimited-Lake Crystal Chapter, FFA, and Minnesota Pheasant, Inc.-Blue Earth County Chapter. James was a fantastic son, a kind husband and stepfather, an amazing brother, and an uncle. Jim loves to work his dog, go kayaking, and go fishing.

James liked to play golf, play beach volleyball, and work on many projects one after another. Jim would always provide a helping hand to anyone in need and cherished his time spent with friends and family. In addition to his wife, Jennifer, and step-son, Brady Brown, James is also survived by his parents, Mervin and Karen Nibbe of rural Vernon Center; three siblings,

Dennis (Stacy) Nibbe and their daughter, Morgan of Good Thunder, Leslie (Brent) Johnson and their daughter Emily of Vernon Center, and Jason Nibbe of Vernon Center; grandmother, Mable Nibbe of Truman; mother-in-law, Monika (Nick) Brown of Angora; father-in-law, Dan (Mary) Gilman of Lake Crystal; sister-in-law, Angie (Jamey) Sack and her children, Brandon, Cameron, and Amanda of Janesville; brother-in-law, Kalin Brown; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
